BIR Bataan appeals to taxpayers

BIR Bataan Revenue District Officer Mercedes Estallila renewed her appeal to taxpayers in the district to settle their tax obligation. “Pay long overdue estate tax, deed of sale tax, and other past due taxes, and upgrade registration from non-VAT to VAT for businesses whose sales exceed the P3 million threshold”, she urged taxpayers.

Estallila also initiated the conduct of tax compliance seminars for taxpayers held at the BIR Office in Balanga every Thursday. She said taxpayers can talk to them for tax concerns. BIR Bataan has intensified tax collection campaign to reach the P5.3 billion target for this year. Estallila said they are heightening efforts to overcome their collection deficit.

Estallila also reminded establishments to issue proper receipts. She asked the public to report to them unscrupulous business owners not using proper receipts or worse not issuing receipts. She warned they will enforce Oplan Kandado against erring taxpayers.
